Are you an experienced, skilled machinist in setting and operating CNC or Manual Lathes, Mills and Grinders? We are looking for motivated persons to continue growth in the business.

Machinist duties will involve:

• Setting and operating either CNC Lathe, Mills or Grinder machines.
• Using a range of inspection tools such as verniers and callipers and completion of inspection sheets
• First Off and Quality checks against engineering diagram
• Ability to work to daily plans and tasks using Numeracy and Literacy Skills
• Attention to detail to maintain high levels of quality
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required
• Good organisation and time management skills

The job:

The work you will be doing ranges from small to medium batch sizes and you will need to be confident with working to engineering drawings to produce components. You will need to be familiar with using standard measuring equipment.

A good level of computer literacy is a must, and any experience of grinding would be an advantage.

Key attributes required for the position are:

• Attention to detail and methodical approach to working.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Recognised Apprenticeship Framework Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years experienced.

Experience required:

• Experienced in working with any CNC/Manual Lathes, Mills and Grinders .
• Experience of programming, setting and operating.
• Competent use of gauges and tooling.
• Experience in one off tooling manufacture.
• Experience with XYZ, Citizen or Haas machine tools could be advantageous

Hours:

Fulltime

• 38.5 hours per week
• 07.30-16.30 Monday to Thursday
• 07.30-12.00 Friday
